GLADIATOR GAMES - COMPETITIONS & TITLES
The principle of the Gladiator Games in the modern era is simple, with the contests consisting of a number of battlewalkers all facing off against each other. There are different forms of matches, and they continue to evolve, but some of the most common are :
1 vs 1 (Single Competition)
2 vs 2 (Partner Competition)
3 vs 3 (Squad Competition)
6 vs 6 (Half-Company Competition)
12 vs 12 (Company Competition)
Survivor (varying numbers, up to as many as 40 competing singly with only one left standing, very popular)
Hunt (One or a number of walkers try to evade a much larger hunting team)
Deathmatch (Rare, reserved grudge matches. Do not necessarily result in death of a pilot, but the object is complete annihilation of the enemy machine, beyond a simple shut-down)
Capture the Flag (two teams, each with a flag, winner captures the opposing teams target)
Headquarters (sometimes with two HQs, sometimes not, like capture the flag but instead of an object have a place to capture)
Campaign (Massive, sometimes multi-team competitions, with multiple mission-based fights. Special rules.)
A Team is ranked within any one of the three Leagues. The Leagues are :
Championship League (with two divisions - solo walkers, or squad walkers, only)
Interstellar League (with the Premier, Second, Third and Fourth Divisions - for teams of any size, affiliated or non-affiliated)
